Kelvin Mthombeni

Kelvin Mongameli Mthombeni was born and grew up in Bulawayo Zimbabwe, a place well known for talent and vibrancy in Southern Africa. He started showing amazing talent from the age of six and continued to bring his creative passion to fruition. He studied for a diploma in Education at United College of Education where he majored in Art and Design from 2015 up to 2018 and graduated as the best overall student in Art and Design. He then moved to SouthAfrica in 2019 to pursue his dream career in Art

Kelvin express himself through various forms of media, his most prominent works are expressed in wood and dry media. When it comes to carving he follows the flow of the wood as nature is his best inspiration. He communicates reality and healing power in his works as some lift our spirits and some scrutinize the system the world is running on.

Kelvin was featured at the SCAVA exhibition in George in the year 2019. Most of his works can also be found at outdoor markets “Scarab Craft Village”. He is also a member of the Knysna Arts Society and will be featured in many events under the society.
